As you all know too many incarcerated people have been infected with the coronavirus and many have died. Can you help us protect people who are currently incarcerated by taking the action below so we can encourage Governor Cuomo to protect people in jails and prisons from COVID? Tens of thousands of New Yorkers are locked behind bars in jails and prisons where COVID is raging. Thousands have been infected with the virus and at least 30 people have died. As case numbers surge, the state has done very little to stop the spread, and it's unclear when those who are locked up will have access to a vaccine. Governor Cuomo is barring almost all incarcerated people from getting vaccinated, even though shots are available to others living in congregate settings – like homeless shelters – and to staff at correctional facilities.
