Since March, many of the transformative provisions of the Less Is More Act went into effect and we are actively working to make sure these provisions are effectively implemented. So far, the Less Is More Act has led to more than 8,000 people being discharged from parole early, more than 1,500 people getting released from jails and prisons across the state, and aided in closing 6 prisons across NY.
